Welcome back Penfield! The Massachusetts native steps in strong for your winter needs, showcasing classic styles mixed with new silhouettes as well. The jackets are listed in order of the write up.

The Stapleton is one of our most celebrated styles, the Stapleton jacket is constructed in our tough 60/40 Cotton Nylon, with an 80/20 down fill providing additional warmth for the winter season. This winter’s Stapleton has been updated with a zip on the center front that, combined with tough metal snaps, provides improved shelter from the elements and lower hand-warmer pockets with arrowheads reinforcing the corners. The leather shoulder yoke gives the jacket added strength and durability, a distinctive Penfield feature on a rugged style available this season in our authentic 70’s Red Oxide colorway.

The Ottawa is the perfect choice for serious outdoor exploration. Functional details, breathable yet resistant fabric and plenty of room for storage make this jacket a great all-rounder. Featuring a fully adjustable peaked hood, waist cinch and a double closure front storm flap, the Ottowa provides comfort in a number of situations. The seven front utility pockets provide plenty of storage, while a large poachers pocket on the back is perfect for those bulkier items.

The Walpole is a light and weatherproof trail jacket, the Walpole is designed to provide maximum comfort in the great outdoors. Combining our water resistant and windproof Hudson Wax fabric with a traditional plaid lining and a soft corduroy collar, the Walpole is the perfect jacket for the changeable months leading into winter.

The Kasson Tweed's hood protects your face with its built-in peak, warm plaid lining and leather cord adjusters. The inner waist cinch keeps the front of the jacket looking clean and leaves more space for the four front pockets. The front is secured with a snap down storm flap and two-way zip, while cuffs feature Velcro adjusters for staying warm. A large game pocket is accessible via side-entry at the back of the jacket.

We would like to introduce everyone to Nic Vincent, who is the founder of Lovebikes located in Lawrenceville. Nic has been a good friend of ours for many years and he recently started his own venture. We were having a few drinks late on a Friday night months ago (at Nadine's of course) and a lightbulb went off. Unlike many intoxicated and forgettable nights, the next day we were eager to get to work on this project. We decided to do a single speed bicycle with subtle gold accents topped with a custom made 412 badge. Less is more in our eyes and Nic found the perfect accents including a gold crank, bar, and seat post. We followed up with meetings and endless emails until today when this project is officially complete. We would like to present Love Bikes x Shop412! It is for sale for $2000.00 but it will be hard to pry this from our hands.

Here is a HOT release of the Lunar Macleay solar colorway. Among the earliest, and still to this day, best, colorways of the Nike ACG Lunar Macleay was the Solar Red ‘China’ edition that hit retailers last October. That bold look added Moss Green accents for one of the most eye-catching modern ACG designs we’ve seen, and here’s proof that the Solar shade is sufficiently vibrant to grab your attention even in a supporting role. Most of these new Lunar Macleay ACGs are done in Anthracite nubuck, which has the overall feel of this new release something like an outdoorsy take on the ‘Infrared’ palettes that remain legendary for so many early ’90s Nikes. About Scotch & Soda

The Scotch & Soda company history officially starts back in the 80’s, when a new menswear label with a good dose of fresh attitude is launched. However, the Amsterdam based fashion company Scotch & Soda, as we know it today, originates in a brave new start in 2001 when three new owners took the wheel.
Eric Bijlsma, Joep Krouwels and Patrick Munsters crossed swords, joining all their experience and shared love for making great clothes. They followed their instincts, and started tackling selling points outside their hometown, such as Italy, France and Spain. Scotch & Soda started to grow and hasn’t stopped growing since. Straight from the heart and against the grain, Scotch & Soda’s success story became an urban fashion legend.
At Scotch & Soda, creativity is king. It’s about the clothes and nothing but the clothes. The designers at Scotch spare no effort or expense at detailing and fine-tuning samples, all the way to the neatly finished interior of each garment. They get to take their time; Scotch & Soda has stuck with two collections a year and won’t be pressed to speed up their elaborate production rituals. Advertising is virtually non existant, “People who feel confident about themselves, don’t need logos to show the world what they’re about. All branding does really, is take away people’s individuality.” Instead, Scotch & Soda chooses to invest in the product, which is typically informed by the best tried and tested classic and vintage styles, enriched with a wealth of inspiration from around the world, and infused with the love of a true collector.
After Scotch & Soda was re-launched for Spring Summer 2002, Scotch Shrunk was added for Spring Summer 2008. Literally shrinking men’s styles to little brother or son sizes was a completely new take on kids wear, and Shrunk made waves no-one at Scotch had even dared dream of. Another move was conceivable at this point: into women’s. Long time Scotch & Soda head-designer Marieke Meulendijks had already set her mind to having her own sophisticated women’s label, and by partnering up with the three men heading Scotch, she could have it in the most ideal way. Maison Scotch entered the market with the Spring Summer 2010 collection and it already accounts for a large part of the company’s continuous growth. To complete this tale, little sister R’Belle showed up for Spring Summer 2011 and Scotch’s youngest and most ambitious project Amsterdams Blauw hit the stores in December 2010; a compact high profile denim collection that could only come from the Scotch kitchen. And that kitchen is still located in the heart of Amsterdam, a city that has a long and notorious tradition at railing in the best of goods and ideas that can be found in the world, to make them their inimitable own. Last but by no means least there's Barfly: Scotch & Soda’s debut into the world of fragrance. Mishka Fall Offerings

This is the first of a few shipments we will be receiving from Russian/Brooklyn based streetwear brand Mishka. Don't worry if you can't understand Russian as you see their logo boasting MNWKA. This brand has some of the best cut and sew out. The wind breaker is completely waterproof and retails for $206 and the Varsity Jacket (Keep Watch Coaches Jacket) is a perfect weight and is $179. Our favorite piece is the collaboration with Outlier; Outlier is a high end cycling brand that makes clothes for the rider yet with an office desk in mind. This thing fits amazing and we are only releasing 8 of them at $84. Come in and check this stuff out.

For Fall/Holiday Nike's Pinnacle collection (the highest end Nike has to offer) is releasing a bunch of varsity bombers. Letterman jackets are iconic piece of attire for high-schools nation wide and the NSW Destroyer Jacket is Nike Sportswear‘s version of the classic jacket. Various styles are designed for the upcoming Holiday 2011 season in men and women styles. What NSW did however was not just to imitate the classic jacket but to put improvements to give it a modern twist. Zipper on the centre chest sharpen up the front view along with traditional snap buttons, sphere paneling and switching up the taffeta lining with ripstop nylon material to improve its looks and feel. On top of that the outer material is made with 2-layer waterproof wool to ensure rain does not get into the jacket. Retail $450

Last year we did American Apparel zips, this year we chose to do a pullover Champion hoodie. Back to the days when we won our first two Stanley Cups...when our jerseys were the color they were intended to be, (Black & Yellow) and our city was represented diagonally. Many of you may even remember Snoop Dogg wearing the jersey in the "Gin & Juice" video riding on the handlebars of a bike (my personal favorite memory) and of course Ronny Francis sporting it. We only did a limited run of these, so be sure to get yours. Since the Penguins don't seem to want to bring these back, we will.
